Karwa Chauth makeup that lasts through a long fasting day

A full day without water can leave skin looking a little dull by evening. That is why the prep matters more than the products. Our artists start with a light hydrating layer, use a thin, long-wear base and build colour slowly, so the face looks fresh, not cakey, when you finally see the moon.

At sargi, eat something with water in it, like fruit, and drink enough before sunrise. Skip new skincare that morning, and avoid heavy creams if your skin gets oily. Keep a lipstick, a compact and blotting paper in your puja bag for a quick touch-up before moonrise. Mehndi, saree and hair for the whole family

Mehndi is a big part of Karwa Chauth in Punjab and Chandigarh, and it is usually shared between sisters, mothers and neighbours. Our mehndi artists can do simple Arabic designs for quick hands or fuller designs for the newly-wed. Booking one or two days early is the safe choice, because the evening before the festival fills up fast.

On the day, our team can do makeup for one person and draping or a simple bun for others in the same visit. Looks are planned by our founder Rekha Singh and her team, and our artists bring everything, from brushes to safety pins. You only need a chair, a plug point and a spot near good light.

Everyone wants a slot between afternoon and early evening, so the best times go first. We work from 8 AM to 7 PM, all seven days, and we cover every sector of Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur, Dera Bassi, Kharar and New Chandigarh.
